But, if you've ever been to the USA, you'll understand what I mean. The society over there is in no way connected to religion. In other counries around the world (Middle East, India, China, Africa, you name it), people still manage to integrate religion into everyday life, which is wonderful. Counries like the USA have lost that value, and I've seen it over and over again.Nadiahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07216581844756113684noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9088783565849701867.post-24347718453340123962009-08-23T09:29:17.076+04:002009-08-23T09:29:17.076+04:00Nice information for somebody who are not familiar...Nice information for somebody who are not familiar with Ramadhan.

Quote
so just IMAGINE for a moment what it's like to fast a full month in a country where everyone around you is eating, partying, and focused only on fun, materialism, money, drinking, etc. How do they manage? Fasting is indeed compulsory but the ill and the traveller are exempted from fasting, they are to re-fast once their condition is over anytime after ramadhan. I also heard they sell them at the Duty Free at the airport in Muscat.

I've always been fascinated by India and plan to visit within the next five years. It baffles me how so many people speak so many languages and believe in so many religions and Gods, yet they all share one sense of national identity. Fascinating. I used to work in a company that was 50% Indian almost, and got to work closely with Indians and get to know their families, holidays, religious events, and food! Only I would be able to shout out 'Happy Onam!' or hand out sweets on Diwali. Must visit India!Nadiahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07216581844756113684noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9088783565849701867.post-10213456120121383302009-08-22T14:13:43.072+04:002009-08-22T14:13:43.072+04:00RAMADHAN MUBARAK !
