Don't worry, I haven't disappeared off the face of earth like Muscato and Angry. I'm still alive. Three of my colleagues are on leave (1 annual, 2 emergency) and I am D.Y.I.N.G. I'm at work 12 hours a day. This will only go on for another week then one of them comes back. I have lots to write about, but I haven't even had time for coffee.
.
A colleague forwarded the link to my blog this morning with this comment 'Hey Nadia, check out this AMAZING blog. It's called Dhofari Gucci. I'm sure it's a man. Can you find out who it is and tell us in X department? We've been betting'.
..
I don't write like a man, do I? That's an insult to my pompom and red high heels.

PS (to all you health freaks out there, I have GREAT NEWS! I found good soy milk in Salalah! Yipeeeee! Lulu Centre now provides it regularly)
Super!... The soy milk! The little shop near the airport provides various brands too. Just bought an interesting new brand called "M.A." Hope it tastes good. The one at Al Isteqrar contains a lot of Sugar so it's not healthy at all. The best one is the non-sweetened or the vanilla flavored one.
ReplyDeleteJust waiting for the yummy yummy soy pudding. Especially the dark chocolate one! They have all kinds in Muscat at Al Fair but I have no idea why we don't have that here. Nor have I seen any affordable rice milk (which they also have at the little airport shop).
Lol isn't it nice being anonymous? Did u confess that it's u?
ReplyDeleteBTW, u don't write like a guy
whr i live, thr r more brands tht provide soy milk to the market than those which provide normal milk lol
ReplyDeleteand i personally think they actually taste better than the normal cow milk!!specially the flavored ones!
Seems to my like they know it's actually you.. :p
ReplyDeleteNadia...being a workaholic is soooo overrated.
ReplyDeleteWhat the heck happened to Angry? She just up and disappeared like someone I know (ahem).
I just bought some rice milk the other day here in Muscat for like RO1.2 for the tetra pack. I'm staring at it wondering if I should or if I shouldn't...
I guess powder milk is good for those who prefer artificail ones cause they dont know which one is good and which is bad.dependable consumers have no choices so stick to the powder milk children.
ReplyDeleteah - so now your colleagues who read your blog know who you are - hope your cover isnt blown :)
ReplyDeleteyou just confessed your identity to your colleague if they're smart enough. ;)
ReplyDeleteSpinneys will get good organic soymilk for you from their Dubai store, but it's like 2.600 OR. Whacko!
ReplyDeleteI just want unpasteurised unhomogenised milk from those cute little cows, but my milkman tells me they're all on strike due to the incredible HEAT! Pity, that milk makes the best yoghurt ever, not to mention just after Khareef, skim the cream off and put it in your coffee. Oh oh that's started a train of thought I can't satisfy....
looool welcome back Nadia, I thought u where hit by some kinda virus and u lost ur access to ur blog,,, by the way don't you think u blowed ur cover by posting that story about ur friend, if she/he reads ur blog he will know its u (:
ReplyDeleteFdayooh, blogging techniques can be tricky. I always change details around and I never publish 'fresh' personal news. Sometimes something happens to me two or three months before :)
ReplyDeleteHi, Nadia!
ReplyDeleteHave u heard anything about new cafe name "Cafe de Paris" at the end of Haffa beach? Is it really good as i've heard about?
Thanks in advance.
Eva
So what you are saying is that half of your blog is fake; that you have been playing with our minds - what a player!
ReplyDeleteNadia - you are one smart cookie and glad youre looking after your b a c k
ReplyDeleteGlad you're back, I was just about to start the silent treatment curse on you :p
ReplyDeleteSoy milk?? hmmm I thought it's not as healthy as they assumed it is?! No?? maybe I'm wrong..
Hehehe, no you sure don't write like a man :) Must be your colleagues really like and agree with your alter-ego :) Although, come to think of it, switching the 'gender' in which you write the blog would certainly go a looooong way in creating the subterfuge of the kind you need to preserve your anonymity!
ReplyDeleteAlso must say that you've been missed while slaving away ... What is it about April-going-on-May in Salalah? Every year it feels like these weeks are just dragging on and on, and yet it is undoubtedly also the busiest time ... Know you are not the only one with the currently ongoing 'weeks from hell' experience!
We await your full recovery from temporary enslavement, and your return to continuous blogging, eagerly - and not at all patiently! :)
I think the name Nadia with the photo next to it is a bit of a giveaway :)
ReplyDeleteYum soy milk, there was a good one that I liked they had at Sultan Centre. Though half the time I go its not there. But oddly there is this Wheat strawberry drink that is really good, it comes in a can, At least I think it is wheat. I will need to read the label next time I am there, but as long as its not rice I am happy. Inshallah work gets slower for you.
