Salalah is CRAZY. Traffic is insane. It's been raining everyday. Mud everywhere. Tourists everywhere. 94, 713 tourists arrived last week. NINETY FOUR FRIGGIN THOUSAND. (Reminder: Salalah is a SMALL town).
I'm moving to Alaska.
Random Ramblings about Life in Salalah...
I am sorry - but this post cracked me up. And I haven't stopped giggling. I hope you get your town back soon. I loved my visit to Salalah - quite a few years ago. Time for another I think. But I'll wait till you get rid of the tourists.
ReplyDeleteTAKE ME WITH YOU! I can't stand this any longer. I'm in hiding up in my family's house in Gibgat.

Uhhhh, this really turns my off and as a local I too would be frustrated. Crowds, cars and traffic jams instead of lovely wadis, inviting beaches and beautiful historical sites? Is that what I would get to see if I came to visit Salalalh at the end of October with Eid al-adha coming up?

LOL you've only yourself to blame DG. Wasn't it your blog on 15th Aug inviting people to come to Salalah for the Eid?
ReplyDeleteHopefully the road works will start soon, can you imagine when the traffic when Salalah World finally opens!!!
Woe is me. Welcome to 'tourism' though.
ReplyDeleteYes, Gucci! You're to blame. You invited everyone. ROFL
